So many have asked how they can help MckMama and her family during this difficult time and so I've set up a Care Calendar to help coordinate meals for the family. MckMama is coordinating childcare on her end, but you can contact me for the rest. Please leave me a comment in this message and I will contact you with more information on the Care Calendar as soon as I am able. Please be sure I can get in touch with you through your blog and/or an email address. Thank you for covering my dear friend and her family with prayers!
I would LOVE to know how you make syrup. I was pretty surprised to see that it is clear...I thought it was brown. I guess that has something to do with the cooking. All I can picture is Little House On The Prarie standing around cooking it in a big kettle over a fire in the woods...
ReplyDeleteDitto! I'd love to know the process from sap to syrup. Please tell me you're going to share the secret.
ReplyDeleteMy boys just spent the day with my 59 year old Dad and my 90 year old Grandpa, mapel sugaring up on our family hunting land, near Pine City. YUM!
ReplyDeleteWe just wrapped up the 2009 Sugar season. This tradition has been in our family for 4 generations. This year my boys got to join the game, my Dad was so excited to see all the Grandkids running from tree to tree.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite childhood times was during Sugar season......
