Easter Week

We've been slowly getting back into the swing of things after being gone on vacation last week. We've done some of our traditional Easter activities. The weather was so nice on Sunday night that I took some photos of the kids dressed up. Remember this blue dress from when Julia was a baby? Technically, it's from when I was a baby.

The Easter bunny and the eggs are all fun but it is my prayer that my kids always remember that we are celebrating the sacrifice the Lord made for us by giving up His Son.

As much as I love these photos of my kids what I never ever want to forget about this Easter is what happened last night when I went to tuck Julia in. Both she and Sam were sitting on her bed waiting for me. They proceeded to use the Resurrection Eggs to tell the entire Easter Story - start to finish using all twelve eggs. They knew many details and we so serious about telling me all about it. They get it and it makes my heart swell with love for them even more than I ever thought possible. They are such a blessing!!!

Happy Easter! I pray God blesses you this week and always!

My favorite campstove

Car campers and backpackers typically have a completely different set of camping gear, but when you travel with three kids, a husband, a dog...
