Elsa Louise at 23 weeks

We returned from our first vacation as a family of five yesterday. Elsa was a dream as was her cousin, Josie. Both babies slept almost all the way to the hotel and did sleep all the way home. Out of six hours in the car there was less than five minutes of fussing combined between both babes. Impressive huh? We had so much fun! I can't wait to share the photos of our adventure, but since this is Elsa's weekly update, I should get back on track. Not much extra time as I'm sure is the case for everyone. Christmas is just around the corner and I'm behind on so many things. Thanks to this little cutie I'm not really all that stressed about it. I'm embracing this time with my kids as much as possible and I gotta tell you that at the end of the day when I look at their sleeping faces before I crawl into bed it feels really good to know that we made the most of our time together! Babies grow so fast! These money-saving promos might come in handy for all their needs and wants.

How cute is Elsa in her cousin Elsie's strawberry hat from 10 years ago? She's the fourth kid to wear it and from the looks of it she'll get to wear it next year too.

And now for some updates from the past week and a half:

Sat on Santa's lap for the first time.
Went to her first tea party.
Slept over at Grandma Gayle's house.
Went on first waterpark adventure.
Slept in a hotel for the first time.
Started saying Ba Ba Ba Ba.
Her eyes are turning a lighter shade of blue.
Her hair is really starting to grow.
I also noticed how LONG her eyelashes are getting - they curl up so perfectly.

So beautifully and wonderfully made sweet baby girl! Love you!

"How can I help?"

So many have asked how they can help MckMama and her family during this difficult time and so I've set up a Care Calendar to help coordinate meals for the family. MckMama is coordinating childcare on her end, but you can contact me for the rest. Please leave me a comment in this message and I will contact you with more information on the Care Calendar as soon as I am able. Please be sure I can get in touch with you through your blog and/or an email address. Thank you for covering my dear friend and her family with prayers!

Shabby Apple Giveaway!

Spring is in the air and that means it's time to start thinking about changing over our closets from Winter to Spring. I don't know about you, but that also means it's time to look for a few new pieces to bring new life to what I wear year after year. Today I can make that job a little more fun for you because Shabby Apple is sponsoring a giveaway on my blog! Yeah!!!! I had so much fun looking through their collection of women's dresses and don't even get me started on their adorable line of little girl's dresses ! It's a whole new ballgame for me now that I'm going to have TWO girls to dress. In the end I decided to pick this beauty called Azure Coast to giveaway to one lucky reader because us mom's are always buying things for our kids before ourselves. I just might have to pick up one for myself in time to wear for BabyBear's baptism this summer. It's perfect for nursing moms! Want to win one for yourself? See below , but if you d...

My Birthday Wish

Today is my 33rd birthday. So far I've celebrated by cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming, and washing clothes. My birthday happened to fall on a Monday - the day we set a few hours aside for me to do some of the cleaning that I just don't have time for during the work week. I love it. I get that immediate sense of accomplishment. I see results. I finished a task. Oh how that makes my heart happy!!!!! In my line of work it can be months before I can check a project off my list. All the while it nags at me and weighing me down like a ton of bricks that projects are waiting for me. Don't get me wrong, I love love love my job, but I also love that instant gratification that comes with checking something off my list. So when Mondays roll around I am happy to pick up my dust cloth or a basket of laundry....even on my birthday. I don't have any great birthday reflections for today....maybe another day. Instead I want to share my birthday wish with you dear readers. What I wan...
