I started my book design business in the winter of 2008. Seventy books later I have created a niche for myself as a blog book designer. Clients around the world hire me to take the words and photographs from their blog and transform them into beautiful hardcover albums. When I was a kid I used to dream of a job that paid me to make albums for other people. When the economy tanked God opened a door for my hobby to become that paid gig I'd always dreamed about.
I use a free software from Blurb.com that anyone can download and use themselves. The quality of the books is excellent and I use their services exclusively for client books.
In September of 2010 I had the opportunity to speak about bookmaking at the first ever Minnesota Blogger Conference which was a real treat for me. I love to teach others the things I've learned along the way and when time allows will post tips and tricks on my design site. That is where you will find my waiting list. (I will be on maternity leave until the end of the year starting in June but hope to open up the waiting list again in the Fall of 2011.)
