This little girl...

...spent her first night in undies on Feb.23. We haven't looked back since. In fact, I returned an unopened box of diapers to Sam's Club.

...says the darndest things like "I didn't see that comin'!" when I wrapped her scarf around her face the other day.

...sings whatever, wherever, and whenever she wants. "You can move your body better when you bend!" at the top of her lungs - brings a smile to my face every time. (sung to the tune of She'll be comin' round the mountain when she comes)

... is going to make the cutest flower girl in June.

...is making progress at speech therapy.

...likes to list off the names of all her friends at school (in the same order every time.)

...is old enough for preschool. We're going to "Sammy's School" to sign her up tonight.

...is and always will be my little girl.

Whatever the future holds and wherever the path may lead, we'll be there for you Julia!

Love Mommy & Daddy

  1. James thinks Julia is in the olympics...our computer is being REALLY slow so I have to click on a post...walk away and do laundry or get dinner ready...and hope the post comes up. Anyway he saw the picture up on the screen of her skiing and thinks she is an olympian!

By the way, what are they working with her on in speech?

"How can I help?"

So many have asked how they can help MckMama and her family during this difficult time and so I've set up a Care Calendar to help coordinate meals for the family. MckMama is coordinating childcare on her end, but you can contact me for the rest. Please leave me a comment in this message and I will contact you with more information on the Care Calendar as soon as I am able. Please be sure I can get in touch with you through your blog and/or an email address. Thank you for covering my dear friend and her family with prayers!

Shabby Apple Giveaway!

Spring is in the air and that means it's time to start thinking about changing over our closets from Winter to Spring. I don't know about you, but that also means it's time to look for a few new pieces to bring new life to what I wear year after year. Today I can make that job a little more fun for you because Shabby Apple is sponsoring a giveaway on my blog! Yeah!!!! I had so much fun looking through their collection of women's dresses and don't even get me started on their adorable line of little girl's dresses ! It's a whole new ballgame for me now that I'm going to have TWO girls to dress. In the end I decided to pick this beauty called Azure Coast to giveaway to one lucky reader because us mom's are always buying things for our kids before ourselves. I just might have to pick up one for myself in time to wear for BabyBear's baptism this summer. It's perfect for nursing moms! Want to win one for yourself? See below , but if you d...

My Birthday Wish

Today is my 33rd birthday. So far I've celebrated by cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming, and washing clothes. My birthday happened to fall on a Monday - the day we set a few hours aside for me to do some of the cleaning that I just don't have time for during the work week. I love it. I get that immediate sense of accomplishment. I see results. I finished a task. Oh how that makes my heart happy!!!!! In my line of work it can be months before I can check a project off my list. All the while it nags at me and weighing me down like a ton of bricks that projects are waiting for me. Don't get me wrong, I love love love my job, but I also love that instant gratification that comes with checking something off my list. So when Mondays roll around I am happy to pick up my dust cloth or a basket of laundry....even on my birthday. I don't have any great birthday reflections for today....maybe another day. Instead I want to share my birthday wish with you dear readers. What I wan...
