But don't worry - these are NICE dinosaurs. You could even go so far as to say they are cute. One thing is for sure - they are cheap. I spent $16 at Walmart on the supplies (including the t-shirts) to make these shirts for my kids to wear.
Let me know if you would be interested to read about how I went about making the shirts - they are my very first attempt at applique so I'm no expert. In fact I don't think I've sewn anything since that awful star sequin number I made for a 4-H project two decades ago. But if there is enough interest I will take the time to post a few tips.

Yea I would love to read about your applique. I have tried it a few times before and had interesting results. Some good some bad.

ReplyDeleteI am definitely interested! Those are adorable and don't look all that hard!
ReplyDeleteI want to know! I tried sewing a design on on a bib, but I think there's got to be a better way - or at least another way. These dino tees are adorable and I LOVE the idea of making unique clothes for my kids (without having to pay someone else to do it!).
ReplyDeletePs...I'd expect to see something like these for sale on Etsy. Could be the next big thing!

ReplyDeleteI would love to know. I have a dinosaur-crazy 3-year old and I'd love to be able to make him something special that he will like. It would be awesome if you showed us how you made such adorable T-shirts - not that I'm great at sewing though!
