Alphabitty Moments - The letter E

Welcome to Alphabitty Moments! I created this carnival as a way to record the little things my kids do. The special occasions get enough attention in photographs, blog posts, and storytelling. These keepsake book pages are meant to take a closer look at the ordinary and every day moments of childhood. Some day we will look back on all the little things and realize they were really the big things.

This week using Mixbook I put together this page for the letter E.
I think the picture speaks for itself. The kid can (and does!) run circles around me. He's always been an active little boy but thankfully has a calm side and can play for hours by himself with only a few toys. I love that we can go on long hikes without him asking to be carried. When Julia was a baby we'd walk 2 miles a day and he was only 2 years old!

Now it's your turn. What little moment do you want to remember about your kids?
Don't forget to try out Mixbook and enter your page in this mcklinky to be entered to win a $50 Mixbook gift card - today is the last day to enter!

***I've decided one way I can make my already hectic schedule a little less complicated is to only post one page per week. Feel free to continue to post as many pages as you'd like for your children, but I will probably only be posting one page a week for a while. ****

  1. I love your pages. I have GOT to learn how to do that! Have to try mixbook...
So many distractions more interesting than homeschooling! HA!
Nevertheless, off I go to round up the kids. :)

  2. You would never believe me when I say this but I have not completed my page yet but I was just signing on and was choosing between Excessive Energy or Endless Energy...Would it be cheesy for me to go ahead on this thought? Don't want to look like a copy cat, you know.

  3. FINALLY got mine to work. Sometimes I hate computers! But I have to love them, some of my friends live there :)

I'm already starting to see some of that endless energy in Luke. Boy energy levels seem so much higher than girls!

"How can I help?"

So many have asked how they can help MckMama and her family during this difficult time and so I've set up a Care Calendar to help coordinate meals for the family. MckMama is coordinating childcare on her end, but you can contact me for the rest. Please leave me a comment in this message and I will contact you with more information on the Care Calendar as soon as I am able. Please be sure I can get in touch with you through your blog and/or an email address. Thank you for covering my dear friend and her family with prayers!

Shabby Apple Giveaway!

Spring is in the air and that means it's time to start thinking about changing over our closets from Winter to Spring. I don't know about you, but that also means it's time to look for a few new pieces to bring new life to what I wear year after year. Today I can make that job a little more fun for you because Shabby Apple is sponsoring a giveaway on my blog! Yeah!!!! I had so much fun looking through their collection of women's dresses and don't even get me started on their adorable line of little girl's dresses ! It's a whole new ballgame for me now that I'm going to have TWO girls to dress. In the end I decided to pick this beauty called Azure Coast to giveaway to one lucky reader because us mom's are always buying things for our kids before ourselves. I just might have to pick up one for myself in time to wear for BabyBear's baptism this summer. It's perfect for nursing moms! Want to win one for yourself? See below , but if you d...

My Birthday Wish

Today is my 33rd birthday. So far I've celebrated by cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming, and washing clothes. My birthday happened to fall on a Monday - the day we set a few hours aside for me to do some of the cleaning that I just don't have time for during the work week. I love it. I get that immediate sense of accomplishment. I see results. I finished a task. Oh how that makes my heart happy!!!!! In my line of work it can be months before I can check a project off my list. All the while it nags at me and weighing me down like a ton of bricks that projects are waiting for me. Don't get me wrong, I love love love my job, but I also love that instant gratification that comes with checking something off my list. So when Mondays roll around I am happy to pick up my dust cloth or a basket of laundry....even on my birthday. I don't have any great birthday reflections for today....maybe another day. Instead I want to share my birthday wish with you dear readers. What I wan...
