Guess how much I love you?

Tonight as I walked out the door to head over to the office he said I love you first. Usually I call out to everyone 'LOVE YOU!!!!' and the same words are tossed back at me (or catapulted - if everyone is upstairs)and off I go. But not tonight.

"I love you Mama", he said, "All the way to God....and back to your heart."

Ditto Sam.

  4. He really has a way of melting your heart. The other day when he said he wanted to stay at Grandmas rather than go to Pizza Ranch, I would have given him the world. How can one person be so blessed with two great little grand children?

  5. Well, did you melt into a puddle of goo right there on the floor? Because I just did, and I was only reading it! So sweet!

  7. Aww, So sweet. I love that book and I read it to Grayson often. Someone gave it to me before he was born and I read it to him while I was pregnant. Soo sweet.

  8. What a mom moment! Those are unforgettable. It too is a favorite book. My son said, "I love you to God's beard and back." He's 14 now. He won't admit it. But it's there, deep in his heart!

"How can I help?"

So many have asked how they can help MckMama and her family during this difficult time and so I've set up a Care Calendar to help coordinate meals for the family. MckMama is coordinating childcare on her end, but you can contact me for the rest. Please leave me a comment in this message and I will contact you with more information on the Care Calendar as soon as I am able. Please be sure I can get in touch with you through your blog and/or an email address. Thank you for covering my dear friend and her family with prayers!

Shabby Apple Giveaway!

Spring is in the air and that means it's time to start thinking about changing over our closets from Winter to Spring. I don't know about you, but that also means it's time to look for a few new pieces to bring new life to what I wear year after year. Today I can make that job a little more fun for you because Shabby Apple is sponsoring a giveaway on my blog! Yeah!!!! I had so much fun looking through their collection of women's dresses and don't even get me started on their adorable line of little girl's dresses ! It's a whole new ballgame for me now that I'm going to have TWO girls to dress. In the end I decided to pick this beauty called Azure Coast to giveaway to one lucky reader because us mom's are always buying things for our kids before ourselves. I just might have to pick up one for myself in time to wear for BabyBear's baptism this summer. It's perfect for nursing moms! Want to win one for yourself? See below , but if you d...

My Birthday Wish

Today is my 33rd birthday. So far I've celebrated by cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming, and washing clothes. My birthday happened to fall on a Monday - the day we set a few hours aside for me to do some of the cleaning that I just don't have time for during the work week. I love it. I get that immediate sense of accomplishment. I see results. I finished a task. Oh how that makes my heart happy!!!!! In my line of work it can be months before I can check a project off my list. All the while it nags at me and weighing me down like a ton of bricks that projects are waiting for me. Don't get me wrong, I love love love my job, but I also love that instant gratification that comes with checking something off my list. So when Mondays roll around I am happy to pick up my dust cloth or a basket of laundry....even on my birthday. I don't have any great birthday reflections for today....maybe another day. Instead I want to share my birthday wish with you dear readers. What I wan...
