PapaBear and I were sitting here watching the state hockey tournament (his favorite TV 'event' of the year) and got to talking about seeing movies in the theater. My earliest memory of going to a movie was seeing Bambi. It's such a faint memory that I questioned whether it was a real memory. I did a quick search and sure enough - One of the times Bambi was in the theater was 1982. I was five.

The next movie I remember seeing in the theater was Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The other choice that night was Die Hard. I was in grade school so the rabbit movie was the obvious choice. The third movie I saw was Dick Tracy for Tasha's birthday party.

What was the first movie YOU saw in the theater?

  7. The first movie I remember seeing in the theatres was "Snow White". I remember being SOOOOO afraid of that evil witch in the black hood that I turned around and stared at the back of the theatre... and realizing that I could still see her up there above on the projector glass. She was tinier though and less scarey! =0)

  8. Some of us have to go WAY back! I think it would have been "Misty." I remember watching Jungle Book at a Drive-In but I'm certain "Misty" was before that.

  9. The Aristocats...I still love that movie and so do my kids. We went to the city to see it with my cousins...we lived in the country. I can still remember the lady in the department store yelling at me for going up the down escelator...I was so scared because I became separted from my mom. Funny memories.

My Birthday Wish

Today is my 33rd birthday. So far I've celebrated by cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming, and washing clothes. My birthday happened to fall on a Monday - the day we set a few hours aside for me to do some of the cleaning that I just don't have time for during the work week. I love it. I get that immediate sense of accomplishment. I see results. I finished a task. Oh how that makes my heart happy!!!!! In my line of work it can be months before I can check a project off my list. All the while it nags at me and weighing me down like a ton of bricks that projects are waiting for me. Don't get me wrong, I love love love my job, but I also love that instant gratification that comes with checking something off my list. So when Mondays roll around I am happy to pick up my dust cloth or a basket of laundry....even on my birthday. I don't have any great birthday reflections for today....maybe another day. Instead I want to share my birthday wish with you dear readers. What I wan...
