Why didn't I think of this before?

I have found a way to combine some of the things I enjoy the most:

Taking photographs of my kids and capturing the "little things"
Bookmaking
Making 'hand'made gifts
Coming up with creative ways to teach my kids their letters

I plan to work on one letter a week to keep it fun, fresh, and manageable.

Wouldn't it be fun to see what others come up with for their family's alphabet?

You don't have to use Blurb's software
to participate. Simply post a Aa is for _______ and the photo.
There are many companies that create books and sometime down the line you can plug the letters and pictures in.

Any suggestions for a name for the project?

  1. That is a great idea! I love it. If you want to do it REALLY inexpensively, you could print out the words/pictures and stick them in an album. Fun. My mind is spinning with the possibilites, although I can't think of a catchy title. I'll have to watch your comments!

  6. I think you should call your new project:
    Alphabitty Moments

When you start, can you begin with A again so we can all participate? That would be so much fun!

"How can I help?"

So many have asked how they can help MckMama and her family during this difficult time and so I've set up a Care Calendar to help coordinate meals for the family. MckMama is coordinating childcare on her end, but you can contact me for the rest. Please leave me a comment in this message and I will contact you with more information on the Care Calendar as soon as I am able. Please be sure I can get in touch with you through your blog and/or an email address. Thank you for covering my dear friend and her family with prayers!

Shabby Apple Giveaway!

Spring is in the air and that means it's time to start thinking about changing over our closets from Winter to Spring. I don't know about you, but that also means it's time to look for a few new pieces to bring new life to what I wear year after year. Today I can make that job a little more fun for you because Shabby Apple is sponsoring a giveaway on my blog! Yeah!!!! I had so much fun looking through their collection of women's dresses and don't even get me started on their adorable line of little girl's dresses ! It's a whole new ballgame for me now that I'm going to have TWO girls to dress. In the end I decided to pick this beauty called Azure Coast to giveaway to one lucky reader because us mom's are always buying things for our kids before ourselves. I just might have to pick up one for myself in time to wear for BabyBear's baptism this summer. It's perfect for nursing moms! Want to win one for yourself? See below , but if you d...

My Birthday Wish

Today is my 33rd birthday. So far I've celebrated by cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming, and washing clothes. My birthday happened to fall on a Monday - the day we set a few hours aside for me to do some of the cleaning that I just don't have time for during the work week. I love it. I get that immediate sense of accomplishment. I see results. I finished a task. Oh how that makes my heart happy!!!!! In my line of work it can be months before I can check a project off my list. All the while it nags at me and weighing me down like a ton of bricks that projects are waiting for me. Don't get me wrong, I love love love my job, but I also love that instant gratification that comes with checking something off my list. So when Mondays roll around I am happy to pick up my dust cloth or a basket of laundry....even on my birthday. I don't have any great birthday reflections for today....maybe another day. Instead I want to share my birthday wish with you dear readers. What I wan...
