New faces, new places

Today we enjoyed another late afternoon of sledding, chili, and playtime with our friends. My kids are now sawing Z's after all that fresh air and fun. I'm ready to rest my sore muscles myself, but first the photos (and some links to the original sledding post when the MckFamily went sledding with the BearFamily).

Last year , at our old house, I took a similar picture of Big Mac and BrotherBear in all the Spring snow.

But this time it was MckMuffin in the sling instead of Small Fry.

PapaBear joined in the fun behind our new house.

I opted not to carry SisterBear and MckNugget this time. Instead I carried my baby camera in my sling and my daughter on my shoulder.

What hasn't changed is the look of excitement on their faces.

(Love this one MckMama! Thanks!)

And this one too...
See how the kids all have huge grins on their faces?
They don't care that we're about to crash - they think that's the fun part!
When did I get old?

  3. Looks like everyone was having a blast.... I wish we got some of that snow around here, but TN never gets anything like that.

  4. Looks like you all had a great time! I am jealous of the snow you have, all we have right now is ice from the ice storm that we had Tuesday night into Wednesday! Yuck no sledding for us.

  5. looks like a blast! The boys went out last night to 'try' to sled in our little bit of snow. They are so anxious to get more snow!

"How can I help?"

So many have asked how they can help MckMama and her family during this difficult time and so I've set up a Care Calendar to help coordinate meals for the family. MckMama is coordinating childcare on her end, but you can contact me for the rest. Please leave me a comment in this message and I will contact you with more information on the Care Calendar as soon as I am able. Please be sure I can get in touch with you through your blog and/or an email address. Thank you for covering my dear friend and her family with prayers!

Shabby Apple Giveaway!

Spring is in the air and that means it's time to start thinking about changing over our closets from Winter to Spring. I don't know about you, but that also means it's time to look for a few new pieces to bring new life to what I wear year after year. Today I can make that job a little more fun for you because Shabby Apple is sponsoring a giveaway on my blog! Yeah!!!! I had so much fun looking through their collection of women's dresses and don't even get me started on their adorable line of little girl's dresses ! It's a whole new ballgame for me now that I'm going to have TWO girls to dress. In the end I decided to pick this beauty called Azure Coast to giveaway to one lucky reader because us mom's are always buying things for our kids before ourselves. I just might have to pick up one for myself in time to wear for BabyBear's baptism this summer. It's perfect for nursing moms! Want to win one for yourself? See below , but if you d...

My Birthday Wish

Today is my 33rd birthday. So far I've celebrated by cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming, and washing clothes. My birthday happened to fall on a Monday - the day we set a few hours aside for me to do some of the cleaning that I just don't have time for during the work week. I love it. I get that immediate sense of accomplishment. I see results. I finished a task. Oh how that makes my heart happy!!!!! In my line of work it can be months before I can check a project off my list. All the while it nags at me and weighing me down like a ton of bricks that projects are waiting for me. Don't get me wrong, I love love love my job, but I also love that instant gratification that comes with checking something off my list. So when Mondays roll around I am happy to pick up my dust cloth or a basket of laundry....even on my birthday. I don't have any great birthday reflections for today....maybe another day. Instead I want to share my birthday wish with you dear readers. What I wan...
