Baby Boom

The October baby boom is in full swing:
Brianna has a new baby brother named Caden Scott. (October 14th)

My best friend from high school is due with her third girl today.
Heather missed an October birthday for her son, Isaac, by one day.
Joy and Chris had a baby girl, Evie late in September.
Stellan will join the ranks next week.
No wonder baby fever is hitting me hard right now!

  2. Your blog looks GREAT!!! Really great!!!

Caden has SUPER blonde hair...even at birth. Never saw that coming!! ;) Congrats to them!

My kiddos just went down...it's 1:12. What time do you think? 3:30/4:00?? Is there a chance your roasting pan is black with speckles and not blue? Or maybe you never told me it was blue...I have found I think all of the stuff! Looking forward to it...

Proud to be an October baby boom mama,

  3. Hey! You asked me a couple questions in a recent comment so here are the answers!
As far as the apple orchard field trip, it sure sounds like you are talking about the one we went to! I actually went there with Isaac and my sister when we first moved here last year. Today the petting zoo was not open, we went on a tractor ride, picked apples (no pumpkins,) ate apple donuts and cider, watched how to clean and peel apples...all while being in cold, drizzly rain! It was still fun though and the kids did great.
As for paying with a check at the parking ramp for my sister's hospital, I really don't think they would accept it, but I don't know!! I always paid cash and can't remember any sign. I would just call to make sure though.
Can't believe Stellan will be here in 7 days!
Hope you are doing well. How's your sister?
    Your blog looks great!
    Take care,
    Hilary

Shabby Apple Giveaway!

Spring is in the air and that means it's time to start thinking about changing over our closets from Winter to Spring. I don't know about you, but that also means it's time to look for a few new pieces to bring new life to what I wear year after year. Today I can make that job a little more fun for you because Shabby Apple is sponsoring a giveaway on my blog! Yeah!!!! I had so much fun looking through their collection of women's dresses and don't even get me started on their adorable line of little girl's dresses ! It's a whole new ballgame for me now that I'm going to have TWO girls to dress. In the end I decided to pick this beauty called Azure Coast to giveaway to one lucky reader because us mom's are always buying things for our kids before ourselves. I just might have to pick up one for myself in time to wear for BabyBear's baptism this summer. It's perfect for nursing moms! Want to win one for yourself? See below , but if you d...

My Birthday Wish

Today is my 33rd birthday. So far I've celebrated by cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming, and washing clothes. My birthday happened to fall on a Monday - the day we set a few hours aside for me to do some of the cleaning that I just don't have time for during the work week. I love it. I get that immediate sense of accomplishment. I see results. I finished a task. Oh how that makes my heart happy!!!!! In my line of work it can be months before I can check a project off my list. All the while it nags at me and weighing me down like a ton of bricks that projects are waiting for me. Don't get me wrong, I love love love my job, but I also love that instant gratification that comes with checking something off my list. So when Mondays roll around I am happy to pick up my dust cloth or a basket of laundry....even on my birthday. I don't have any great birthday reflections for today....maybe another day. Instead I want to share my birthday wish with you dear readers. What I wan...

New shampoo for a new year!

Happy New Year from BearCountry! We are in the middle of a cold snap where the temps spend more time below zero than above. That means hats and gloves every.single.time we walk out the door for even the shortest trip. Thankfully we’ve been able to avoid catching any of the lice that has been making the rounds in our school district because keeping up with regular laundry is hard enough - let alone washing outerwear too!  Research has shown that tea tree oil repels lice and so we’ve been using a tea tree oil shampoo from Maple Holostics  this winter to give us every advantage against those annoying buggers!  Our family has fine hair so we have to be careful to use hair products that don’t weigh our hair down with build up. It is important to us that products we put on our skin are safe and not full of chemicals or sulfates. That is why when Maple Holostics contacted me about reviewing one of their products I didn’t hesitate to volunteer. I didn’t tell anyone in our family...
