Sharing the Love

Someone at blurb.com liked the books I've made and offered me a discount on my next book. The cool part is that they said I could share the code for $15 off. If this post about photo book making inspired you to start (or finish) your own Blurb book go ahead and leave me a comment (including your email) so I can share the code with you.

Need more inspiration? Check out my newest project in the my bookstore titled "Tom & April". This is special book to me because I had the opportunity to use portraits by Jennifer McKinney Photography - always a treat!
You can preview the first 15 pages of any of my books by clicking on the book and then the "book preview" below the picture.

  1. Hi,

I am so excited about starting to make a book. My Mom passed away on June 10, 2007 and I thought I would make a book with all pictures of her from birth till now. I really have no idea where to start but look forward to the challenge. If you would not mind sharing the code for money off I would appreciate it. My book has hopes of being a big one and any money off would greatly help. Please email me at journeytohannah@gmail.com.

    Thank you,
    Christine Rojas

  2. I was super excited when you posted about the blurb books! I never know what to get my parents and my in-laws for Christmas. They have everything they need and don't need more "stuff", but I thought these would be perfect for Christmas loaded with pictures of the grandkids! If I got a discount, the books could be bigger and better!

    My e-mail address is: megnjaxmom@yahoo.com

    Thanks!

"How can I help?"

So many have asked how they can help MckMama and her family during this difficult time and so I've set up a Care Calendar to help coordinate meals for the family. MckMama is coordinating childcare on her end, but you can contact me for the rest. Please leave me a comment in this message and I will contact you with more information on the Care Calendar as soon as I am able. Please be sure I can get in touch with you through your blog and/or an email address. Thank you for covering my dear friend and her family with prayers!

Shabby Apple Giveaway!

Spring is in the air and that means it's time to start thinking about changing over our closets from Winter to Spring. I don't know about you, but that also means it's time to look for a few new pieces to bring new life to what I wear year after year. Today I can make that job a little more fun for you because Shabby Apple is sponsoring a giveaway on my blog! Yeah!!!! I had so much fun looking through their collection of women's dresses and don't even get me started on their adorable line of little girl's dresses ! It's a whole new ballgame for me now that I'm going to have TWO girls to dress. In the end I decided to pick this beauty called Azure Coast to giveaway to one lucky reader because us mom's are always buying things for our kids before ourselves. I just might have to pick up one for myself in time to wear for BabyBear's baptism this summer. It's perfect for nursing moms! Want to win one for yourself? See below , but if you d...

My Birthday Wish

Today is my 33rd birthday. So far I've celebrated by cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming, and washing clothes. My birthday happened to fall on a Monday - the day we set a few hours aside for me to do some of the cleaning that I just don't have time for during the work week. I love it. I get that immediate sense of accomplishment. I see results. I finished a task. Oh how that makes my heart happy!!!!! In my line of work it can be months before I can check a project off my list. All the while it nags at me and weighing me down like a ton of bricks that projects are waiting for me. Don't get me wrong, I love love love my job, but I also love that instant gratification that comes with checking something off my list. So when Mondays roll around I am happy to pick up my dust cloth or a basket of laundry....even on my birthday. I don't have any great birthday reflections for today....maybe another day. Instead I want to share my birthday wish with you dear readers. What I wan...
