Flower Power








Long time readers of my blog know that as the 2nd and 13th of each month approach they can expect a "birthday" post about Sam and Julia. This month is no different except that Julia is becoming more and more animated in her posing ability. I'm all for capturing the candid moments but on the day of the month each of my kiddos were born I make a special effort to take portraits of them. Here's a sampling of my almost 2 year old's 23 month birthday pictures. I can't believe she's going to turn two so soon! Yet she's always looked older for her age don't ya think? I just realized something: She's the same age Sam was when she was a newborn. Crazy.

    I would agree that Julia has always looked older than her age! :)

    My Ethny always seems a bit older than her real age too. She was just weighed and measured to day - 40lbs & 40 inches.

    Love your lil' poser, and she has grown up SO much since I started reading your blog.

My Birthday Wish

Today is my 33rd birthday. So far I've celebrated by cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming, and washing clothes. My birthday happened to fall on a Monday - the day we set a few hours aside for me to do some of the cleaning that I just don't have time for during the work week. I love it. I get that immediate sense of accomplishment. I see results. I finished a task. Oh how that makes my heart happy!!!!! In my line of work it can be months before I can check a project off my list. All the while it nags at me and weighing me down like a ton of bricks that projects are waiting for me. Don't get me wrong, I love love love my job, but I also love that instant gratification that comes with checking something off my list. So when Mondays roll around I am happy to pick up my dust cloth or a basket of laundry....even on my birthday. I don't have any great birthday reflections for today....maybe another day.
