the new me part II

I was intrigued by Mck Mama's new blog look. Actually I was blown away by it. I clicked on the link to see what the site was all about and by the end of the night this is what I'd come up with for me.

Is it the full moon? First the hair, then the blog, and for the first time ever, Julia is spending a night away from me. (Brian, Sam, and Julia are sleeping over at Grandma and Grandpa's house tonight.)

    LOVE the new look... everyones doing it! :) I've been wanting to redo mine but I don't have photoshop on my laptop. I might just have to move my butt over to the desk for a little bit. :)

    I like the new look. I especially enjoyed the night the kids and Brian spent with us. The next morning Sammy came over and stood really close to me and asked if my good knee had a sore on it. When I told him only the one I had surgery on was sore he said "then I'll sit on the other lap" and he sat on my good knee. He sure knows how to make grandmas heart melt. Every time we are with them I find that I love them even more . Love ya

My Birthday Wish

Today is my 33rd birthday. So far I've celebrated by cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming, and washing clothes. My birthday happened to fall on a Monday - the day we set a few hours aside for me to do some of the cleaning that I just don't have time for during the work week. I love it. I get that immediate sense of accomplishment. I see results. I finished a task. Oh how that makes my heart happy!!!!! In my line of work it can be months before I can check a project off my list. All the while it nags at me and weighing me down like a ton of bricks that projects are waiting for me. Don't get me wrong, I love love love my job, but I also love that instant gratification that comes with checking something off my list. So when Mondays roll around I am happy to pick up my dust cloth or a basket of laundry....even on my birthday. I don't have any great birthday reflections for today....maybe another day.
