Before we all turn in for the night I wanted to say thank you to everyone who's sent well wishes the past couple of days. The vomiting has ceased but the nausea remains for Brian and I. Sam hasn't shown any symptoms...yet. We pray he never does and that the rest of us get our strength back soon. We're expecting 2-4 inches of snow tonight and Brian has already set the alarm for 1am so he can go in to plow. Goodnight everyone.

    Oh, my! Having been out and about today and not looked at your blog once until now, I had no idea there was actual vomiting going on at your house. How terrible! I'm glad you don't think there's a connection with yesterday, though. Man! I hope you guys are feeling better tomorrow and that Sam stays symptom-free! Everyone around us is having the stomach flu, but we aren't getting it this time. Having had it ourselves twice this winter, I'd say we're NOT due for another round. So sorry you guys are going through one, though! Hang in there.

My Birthday Wish

Today is my 33rd birthday. So far I've celebrated by cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming, and washing clothes. My birthday happened to fall on a Monday - the day we set a few hours aside for me to do some of the cleaning that I just don't have time for during the work week. I love it. I get that immediate sense of accomplishment. I see results. I finished a task. Oh how that makes my heart happy!!!!! In my line of work it can be months before I can check a project off my list. All the while it nags at me and weighing me down like a ton of bricks that projects are waiting for me. Don't get me wrong, I love love love my job, but I also love that instant gratification that comes with checking something off my list. So when Mondays roll around I am happy to pick up my dust cloth or a basket of laundry....even on my birthday. I don't have any great birthday reflections for today....maybe another day.
