For Sale By Owner

The sign won't go in the front yard until tomorrow morning, but I did just wrap up the posting I did for the Internet. We've been interviewing Realtors all week and after giving it a go on our own for a week or two we'll bite the bullet and let the professionals take over.
Here are a few photographs that Jennifer took for us today. Didn't she do a fabulous job? As soon as I can carve out the time, I want to give you all the full tour. Even those of you who've seen the place in person will be in for a treat - a neat, uncluttered house - what a change from the norm!

Our living room - or more precisely, half of it - the other half is where all the kids toys are.

The one and only bathroom. At least we have the double sinks going for us!

  1. Taking photos of your spotless, orgnaized home was not the "good job" to be spoken of. The "good job" is what you and Brian have done in the last 1-2 weeks. I am so highly, highly impressed in what you've accomplished! Nice work!!!

  2. Way to go! It can take so much to get a home ready to sell, and from reading your posts, it sounds like you've done a ton. The pictures are beautiful too. We sold our home on our own last year, and it went great! Some friends of ours just sold their home on their own too. If that doesn't work, find a top real estate agent who will market your home like crazy. Interviewing Realtors is a great way to do that.

"How can I help?"

So many have asked how they can help MckMama and her family during this difficult time and so I've set up a Care Calendar to help coordinate meals for the family. MckMama is coordinating childcare on her end, but you can contact me for the rest. Please leave me a comment in this message and I will contact you with more information on the Care Calendar as soon as I am able. Please be sure I can get in touch with you through your blog and/or an email address. Thank you for covering my dear friend and her family with prayers!

Shabby Apple Giveaway!

Spring is in the air and that means it's time to start thinking about changing over our closets from Winter to Spring. I don't know about you, but that also means it's time to look for a few new pieces to bring new life to what I wear year after year. Today I can make that job a little more fun for you because Shabby Apple is sponsoring a giveaway on my blog! Yeah!!!! I had so much fun looking through their collection of women's dresses and don't even get me started on their adorable line of little girl's dresses ! It's a whole new ballgame for me now that I'm going to have TWO girls to dress. In the end I decided to pick this beauty called Azure Coast to giveaway to one lucky reader because us mom's are always buying things for our kids before ourselves. I just might have to pick up one for myself in time to wear for BabyBear's baptism this summer. It's perfect for nursing moms! Want to win one for yourself? See below , but if you d...

My Birthday Wish

Today is my 33rd birthday. So far I've celebrated by cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming, and washing clothes. My birthday happened to fall on a Monday - the day we set a few hours aside for me to do some of the cleaning that I just don't have time for during the work week. I love it. I get that immediate sense of accomplishment. I see results. I finished a task. Oh how that makes my heart happy!!!!! In my line of work it can be months before I can check a project off my list. All the while it nags at me and weighing me down like a ton of bricks that projects are waiting for me. Don't get me wrong, I love love love my job, but I also love that instant gratification that comes with checking something off my list. So when Mondays roll around I am happy to pick up my dust cloth or a basket of laundry....even on my birthday. I don't have any great birthday reflections for today....maybe another day. Instead I want to share my birthday wish with you dear readers. What I wan...
