Rise and Shine!

A huge grin - that is what I'm greeted with when I get Julia up from a nap or when she wakes up in the morning.
 

 
I wish I could crawl in and snuggle with her like Sam can.

    So cute! I love the letters above her bed! Question...when do they start sleeping on their tummies? I don't remember when Avery did, so I don't know when to expect Olivia to start!!! I'm a mommy that forgets!

    If I'm doing my math right this late at night, Julia is three weeks older than Olivia. Julia has only been sleeping on her tummy for a week. We put her down that way and say a prayer since they say babies are suppose to sleep on their backs. We used to swaddle her but now she's strong enough to get out of the wrap. For some reason sleeping on her tummy makes her feel secure so she sleeps a little better. Unfortunately it makes ME a nervous mommy.
    Say, is tomorrow Liv's 5 month birthday?

    I'm glad I came back to check your response. You'll never guess what I saw on my carpet tonight...Liv sleeping on her tummy...crazy how that happens. And, yes, tomorrow Liv turns 5 months old (sniff sniff)...

My Birthday Wish

Today is my 33rd birthday. So far I've celebrated by cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming, and washing clothes. My birthday happened to fall on a Monday - the day we set a few hours aside for me to do some of the cleaning that I just don't have time for during the work week. I love it. I get that immediate sense of accomplishment. I see results. I finished a task. Oh how that makes my heart happy!!!!! In my line of work it can be months before I can check a project off my list. All the while it nags at me and weighing me down like a ton of bricks that projects are waiting for me. Don't get me wrong, I love love love my job, but I also love that instant gratification that comes with checking something off my list. So when Mondays roll around I am happy to pick up my dust cloth or a basket of laundry....even on my birthday. I don't have any great birthday reflections for today....maybe another day.
